"Thanks for the instructions for the Hide-A-Hose central vacuum remote. Our system is now working fine. I had to do the reprogramming mentioned at the end of the instructions...I had a similar problem with my car remote, and the dealer refused to provide the reprogramming instructions. He wanted to charge me several hundred dollars plus my time for making an appointment. Cana-Vac offers 2 unique products. The
Doc-It® retractable hose system features a 45 or 55 ft hose that is dispensed automatically from a wall unit. When vacuuming is complete, the hose is retracted into the wall unit. This system is controlled by buttons on the hose handle. The hose is electrified so that an electric powerhead can be used. Click here to view a video of the hose management system.
Vacu-Vision® is a central vacuum information dashboard located on the hose handle. The LCD screen changes from blue to red in the case of a system problem. Messages such as "Bag Full", "Blockage", "Over Temp" and "Check Motor" alert the user of a problem with the system. Vacu-Vision also allows the operator to change the speed of the electric powerhead and vary the suction. The hose is soft, kink-proof, stronger than a crushproof hose and pulls easier than other wire-reinforced hoses. Vacu-Vision works with other central vacuum systems if they have a tangential exhaust.
